About The Position

As a Corporate Accountant at Intrepid, you will play a key role in managing various components of the general ledger and related financial systems, along with supporting additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or a related field
  • At least three years of experience progressively responsible accounting experience, including work directly related to monthly accounting closes and financial statement analysis
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Hands on proficiency of Microsoft Office applications required with advanced knowledge of Excel

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for completion of all aspects of cash application to the Salesforce accounts receivable subledger, including the daily cash application to customer accounts, resolution of customer credit balances, support in the preparation of customer statements, and other accounts receivable support functions
  • Manage the accounting for all non-AR miscellaneous cash receipts
  • Manage resolution for other cash disbursements, including non-subledger cash disbursement routings to accounts payable department, daily cash reporting to management team, and similar cash reporting needs
  • Responsible for completion of various monthly close journal entries for various accounts
  • Responsible for preparation of various balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis in relation to assigned accounts
  • Review of balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure they are recorded appropriately on a monthly basis
  • Review of the accounts receivable agings and assistance to others with receivables collection support as needed
  • Accounting for the company’s fixed assets related to the Denver corporate entity
  • Assist in the preparation of various schedules for annual audit and quarterly reviews
  • Assist in the design, development, documentation and implementation of internal controls
  • Acting as the primary contact when interacting with department managers, accounting colleagues, and other departments with respect to areas of individual responsibility
  • Other duties as assigned
