About The Position

This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of product through the production process and ensuring proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. ATTN Team Members: This position is slated for team members who are currently working at this facility or complex only. Team members interested in transferring into this position from another Tyson facility should express interest through their local HR Partner.

Requirements

  • Must be willing and able to repetitively lift up to 40 pound boxes from floor level up to a height of 7 feet, every 30 to 60 seconds.
  • Team Member will flex/grip with wrists/hands.
  • Team Member will walk, bend, squat and stand.
  • INTERNAL REQUIREMENTS AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION: Openings for this position will be posted for three (3) working days utilizing the Tyson PersTime job-bidding program.
  • Must have been in their current position six 90 days to demote or transfer to another shift or line.
  • Must have been in their current position 90 days to promote.
  • No more than four (4) attendance points at the time of job posting, in the last six (6) months.
  • No written warning at the time of job posting within the last six (6) months.
  • No suspensions at the time of job posting within the last six (6) months

Responsibilities

  • Changing tape rolls on the box closer/tape machines.
  • Keeping all packing material needed for production stocked on production floor.
  • Putting packing material away in its proper location after changeovers and shutdowns.
  • Monitoring and reporting wear and tear on equipment.
  • Stacking product properly and maintaining accurate case counts.
  • Properly completes daily production forms.
  • Tallies hourly and shift case counts by line and product code.
  • Labels each pallet with a barcode and utilizes a handheld computer/scanner to enter pallet case counts and time data into a production inventory system.
  • May occasionally be required to operate a ride on electric pallet jack.
  • Compares total production forms with barcode inventory system.
  • Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor.
  • Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF requirements.
  • Perform basic math functions (adding, subtracting, multiplying, etc.) with use calculator.
  • Use handheld computer/scanner.
  • Must perform all positions of rotation, if applicable.
