Overview Provides family-centered patient care to critically ill patients that is based in scientific theory and is outcome focused. Supervises the delivery of patient care and manages shift operations in a critical care unit. Demonstrates commitment to maintaining and improving departmental/unit standards. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree BSN required and 2-5 years experience required
• One of the following: Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hire One of the following: Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hire
• Refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications Required Upon Hire

Nice To Haves

• Pediatric/neonatal critical care experience preferred.
• Specialty Certification relevant to unit’s patient population (determined by Nurse Manager/Director) Preferred

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily planning, assessment, and decision making to provide the resources necessary for the provision of safe, high-quality patient and family care.
• Maintains clinical expertise by providing direct patient and family care, working with staff on a regularly scheduled basis.
• Collaborates with the department leadership team in the management of personnel.
• Demonstrates and promotes accountability, communication, relationship management, teamwork, and collaboration with all stakeholders.
• Oversees daily operations in the critical care environment to ensure appropriate staffing resources and clinical competencies are available for the critical care patient population.
