The Copy Supervisor is a mid-level position in the creative department. The role involves being the lead writer on multiple brands, crafting payer value stories, developing clinical and economic messaging, presenting internally and externally, and managing internal relationships. The Copy Supervisor must have conceptual skills, an understanding of payer and HCP marketing communication, knowledge of FDA requirements and terminology, and exceptional copywriting and story-telling abilities.

Requirements

  • 3+ years in pharmaceutical and copywriting at a pharmaceutical company or healthcare communications agency
  • Payer experience or an interest in payer (market access)
  • Writes logically, clearly, grammatically, and creatively
  • Organizes and distils information from multiple sources
  • Speaks articulately and persuasively
  • MS Office Suite (particularly PowerPoint, Word, Excel), Adobe Acrobat
  • bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • Candidates must possess US work authorization

Responsibilities

  • Write clinical and payer marketing communications
  • Understand, communicate, and execute brand payer strategies
  • Prepare materials for client submissions by referencing and annotating text according to client-specific style/guidelines
  • Always take personal responsibility for quality, accuracy, and meeting deadlines
  • Negotiate timing with Project /Account Management when appropriate
  • Work closely with Designers to visualize data/information
  • Work closely with the Clinical Evidence and/or Strategy department to maintain highest degree of medical accuracy
  • Keep current on industry practices and regulatory requirements that affect medical content and copy
  • Participate in professional development activities on a regular basis
  • Inform and advise supervisor on status of accounts
  • Establish credibility internally and with clients through subject matter expertise, critical thinking and excellent communication skills
