About The Position

The Copper Bus Bar / EHRT Operator is responsible for operating and programming multi-station punch machines to fabricate precision metal components, with a focus on copper bus bar products. This position requires a strong background in machining or general fabrication, the ability to interpret detailed prints and specifications, and a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate parts in a fast-paced job shop environment.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of on-the-job experience as a Machinist or General Fabricator in precision metal manufacturing.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in manufacturing precision metal products; copper bus bar experience preferred.
  • Ability to program and operate CNC or EHRT machinery (Fanuc, G-Code, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of prints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Experience with deburring, drilling, and tapping.
  • Proficiency with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
  • Familiarity with material inspection procedures and ISO quality standards.
  • Computer proficiency for programming and reporting.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, standing, stooping, sitting, walking, and reaching overhead.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy job shop environment.
  • Dependable with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work well independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and program multi-station punch machines for copper and other precision metal components.
  • Create and edit machine programs using Fanuc, G-Code, or related software.
  • Read and accurately interpret prints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Perform deburring, drilling, and tapping operations as required.
  • Conduct material inspections and ensure parts meet specifications.
  • Use handheld inspection equipment such as calipers and micrometers.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO standards and quality procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to resolve issues and maintain workflow.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support copper bus bar operations or general fabrication needs.
