About The Position

The Copper Bus Bar / EHRT Operator is responsible for operating and programming multi-station punch machines to fabricate precision metal components, with a focus on copper bus bar products. This position requires a strong background in machining or general fabrication, the ability to interpret detailed prints and specifications, and a commitment to producing high-quality, accurate parts in a fast-paced job shop environment.

Requirements

3–5 years of on-the-job experience as a Machinist or General Fabricator in precision metal manufacturing.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience in manufacturing precision metal products; copper bus bar experience preferred.
Ability to program and operate CNC or EHRT machinery (Fanuc, G-Code, etc.).
Strong understanding of prints, drawings, and specifications.
Experience with deburring, drilling, and tapping.
Proficiency with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
Familiarity with material inspection procedures and ISO quality standards.
Computer proficiency for programming and reporting.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Frequent bending, twisting, standing, stooping, sitting, walking, and reaching overhead.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy job shop environment.
Dependable with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to work well independently and collaboratively within a team.
Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Operate and program multi-station punch machines for copper and other precision metal components.
Create and edit machine programs using Fanuc, G-Code, or related software.
Read and accurately interpret prints, drawings, and specifications.
Perform deburring, drilling, and tapping operations as required.
Conduct material inspections and ensure parts meet specifications.
Use handheld inspection equipment such as calipers and micrometers.
Follow all company policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Maintain compliance with ISO standards and quality procedures.
Work collaboratively with production and quality teams to resolve issues and maintain workflow.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Perform other duties as assigned to support copper bus bar operations or general fabrication needs.
