About The Position

Primary Purpose: Provide districtwide leadership for STEM curriculum, instruction, assessment, professional learning, and pathway development, ensuring vertical alignment from elementary through high school and supporting high-quality, hands-on STEM instruction and expanded college, career, and credentialing opportunities. Lead district implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the TEA Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA), ensuring compliance, managing designation data, and coordinating communication, training, and system support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related field or education
  • Valid Texas Teaching Certificate
  • Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience in STEM teaching or leadership
  • Deep understanding of STEM content and pedagogy and the T-TESS evaluation process
  • Exemplary skills in designing, planning, implementing, and monitoring projects/programs in accordance with specified guidelines and policies
  • Strategic, operational planning skills and event coordination skills
  • Strong data analysis skills

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree
  • Certified T-TESS appraiser (preferred)
  • Experience leading professional development or serving in an instructional leadership role (preferred)
  • Experience with TIA implementation, educator evaluation systems, and student growth measures (preferred)
