About The Position

About Us: East Brainerd Elementary School, located in a vibrant community, is a large public school dedicated to providing exceptional education to a diverse student body of over 1100 students. Our school will be launching a Volkswagen eLab in the 2026-2027 school year, and we seek an innovative educator to join our existing STEM teacher in launching this program to reach our student body. Requirements

Committed to high academic achievement and high expectations for all students
Able to be a positive team-player and communicate effectively with colleagues, supervisors, students, and families
Open to being coached and receiving feedback in order to advance learning and growth for students
Professional with high personal standards and integrity
Teaching candidate must hold a valid state of Tennessee teaching certification in Elementary Education or Computer Science or be an an upcoming graduate in an accredited teacher preparation program.
If you hold a teaching license in another state, you must apply for a Tennessee teaching license.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree.

Responsibilities

Teaching & Learning - Deeply understand the Tennessee Science Standards and establish clear learning targets for every lesson.
Build rigorous and aligned assessments and consistently engage students with science and engineering practices (SEPs).
