About The Position

The main purpose of this full-time leadership position will be to coordinate and operationalize the Worcester County Health Department community & clinic based dental program. This position will supervise and evaluate dental program staff including professional and office staff. Additionally, this position will also ensure that all building needs are met. Due to the clinical nature of services, this position is unable to telework routinely. The selected applicant must be willing and able to travel to other Worcester County Health Department sites as needed.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
Three years of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health-related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources.
Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health-related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.

Nice To Haves

Supervisory experience, including coordinating workflow, budget management, and improvement of operational efficiency.
Experience with dental terminology, insurance billing/coding, scheduling systems, and regulatory requirements such as HIPAA.
Experience interacting with patients, dental providers, vendors and community partners in a professional manner to ensure a positive patient experience.
