This merit recruitment is limited to current Harford County Health Department employees only. GRADE 16 LOCATION OF POSITION MDH, Harford County Health Department, Havre de Grace, MD Main Purpose of Job This position provides supervision and administrative work requiring regular use of independent judgement and analysis in applying and interpreting complex administrative plans or policies with authority and responsibility assigned by the Care Coordination Bureau Director for planning, developing, and implementing the Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention and Environmental Case Management (LAP) Program. This position will include working on core competencies to ensure health equity in developing programs and/or in the delivery of public health services by identifying and removing barriers and supporting systems that help people from disadvantaged communities.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
  • Three years of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health-related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources.
  • Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.
  • Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health-related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.
