About The Position

The main purpose of this position is to assist the Division Chief, Provider Services in activities to move DDA provider agencies from a model of agency-supported services to a model of person supported services. This position will assess, support, monitor, and provide technical assistance to providers to increase the skills and capacity of these agencies. This position will maintain the Statewide Provider Services Tracker with all information needed for Recertifications and Renewals for Licenses when the provider agencies are due for their annual renewals. This position will send 120/90/60/30-day reminder communications when the renewal documents are due for recertification and licensing. They will provide technical assistance to the provider until the provider meets all requirements for their renewal. This position will communicate with OHCQ and send the completed documents; as well as their new DDA Approval Letter and request the provider’s new license. This position assists the Division Chief, Provider Services with New Applicant submissions as assigned. This position processes Organized Healthcare Delivery System Applications between the provider and DDA Headquarters. This position will keep track of all waiver services that have been approved by keeping all drives and associated trackers up to date. This position will review and approve Provider’s Program Service Plans, and provide technical assistance to the agency, as well as writing and sending their Program Service Plan Approval Letters. This position will process addendums for new sites, closed sites, capacity changes, administrative sites, and communicate with OHCQ to update associated site list changes; as well as keeping the regional drives updated with all new information and associated addendum forms and letters. This position will follow up on assigned Plans of Corrections with the provider to ensure those Plans of Corrections were executed and completed as written. This position will track Community Settings Rule Policies, and ensure they are included in the Provider drives to meet compliance requirements. The position will complete the HCBS Community Settings rule visits as assigned to ensure the site meets the requirements. Their visits are for; new site-Initial Visit compliance, Capacity Change Visit compliance, Community Settings Questionnaire-Flagged items to resolve and/or any other, assigned Community Settings site visit assigned and/or needed. The position will provide support about changes needed in order for the Provider to resolve non-compliant issues identified by the CCS in the Person-Centered Plan. This position will attend all Individual Provider Services Quarterly Meetings and work in coordination with the Division Chief, Provider Services to maintain an ongoing, open/transparent relationship with Providers. This position will follow up on tasks given at these Quarterly Meetings and maintain notes/documents in designated Provider Drives. This position will assist with any site monitoring visits assigned by the Division Chief, Provider Services. This position assists providers with technical assistance in LTSSMaryland, and E-Prep as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
  • One year of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health-related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources.
  • Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
  • Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health-related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.
