About The Position

The main purpose of this position is to support the Anne Arundel County Department of Health’s mission to promote the health and well-being of individuals and communities by overseeing Intensive Care Coordination (ICC) staff and ensuring their work aligns with best practices in peer recovery support, clinical collaboration and client advocacy. This position will supervise and guide staff, facilitate training and development, monitor quality and compliance and coordinate staff efforts to assist individuals and families across the recovery continuum. This position will bridge gaps between clinical services, peer support and community resources, ensuring services are accessible, effective and culturally competent. This role includes supervising lower-level ICC staff, delivering targeted education and outreach, maintaining accurate records in Welligent (cloud-based EHR system) and completing required forms and reports. The position may be declared essential during emergencies or inclement weather, requiring the employee to report as directed by the Health Officer or designee.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate.
  • One year of professional experience in assisting in the coordination of a health-related program(s) or referring people to governmental and private resources.
  • Candidates may substitute 30 college credit hours from an accredited college or university for the required experience.
  • Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Health Care Administration classifications or Civil Affairs Specialist specialty codes in the health-related field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience and education.
