Under the direction of the Mgr, Risk, the Coordinator, Risk will provide support to the Risk Management Department, which protects PDS assets and interests, ensuring compliance with state and federal agencies, while lowering the overall cost of Risk. This position will assist the Risk Management Department in the development of a Best Practices Risk Management Program for the company. The Coordinator, Risk will perform advanced and highly administrative/clerical functions including: word processing, Excel spreadsheets, completion of insurance applications, business licenses, constant updating of insurance related company information, and accurate maintenance of tickler files to ensure timely processing of required forms to the appropriate compliance agencies.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree or equivalent. 0-2 years of Insurance/Risk Administration experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Insurance Representative (CISR) and/or Certified Administrative Professional (CAP) desired but not required.
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 2 - 4 years in a fast pace work office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Insurance certificate program for all outside vendors and PDS Supported offices.
  • Monitor and ensure that all offices are in compliance with OSHA regulations.
  • Apply for all initial applications for business licenses and various permits for De Novo offices.
  • Maintain registration of all X-rays and Laser equipment.
  • Maintain current and accurate data in the Risk database.
  • Administer Insurance Medical Mal Practice Insurance Certificate Program ensuring that credentialing and all employed doctors have current insurance certificate documentation.
  • Verify that all Independent Contracted doctors are adequately insured and respective insurance certificates are maintained in the Risk files.
  • Process and file all non-workers compensation claims to insurance carrier. Maintaining completed claims files.
  • Other duties as assigned.
