Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Materials Management and Information Systems

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Operating Room instrumentation
  • Previous experience as an OR/Surgical Technologist or Central Sterile Technician
  • 5–7 years of Operating Room or Central Sterile Services experience

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with vendors and purchasing to order, repair, or replace surgical instruments in alignment with capital budget guidelines.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with company representatives to ensure proper stocking and availability of all required instruments.
  • Oversee all orthopedic surgical cases to maximize efficiency, productivity, and patient safety.
  • Review orthopedic surgical schedules one week in advance and coordinate with vendors, supply chain, and the OR team to ensure all instruments, equipment, and implants are available.
  • Provide daytime support to troubleshoot, facilitate workflow, and assist with case turnover as needed.
  • Participate in staff education, skills development, and in‑service training related to orthopedic instrumentation and procedures.
  • Work with vendors and internal teams to manage orthopedic instrument repairs, replacements, and inventory maintenance.
  • Collaborate closely with the orthopedic manager or designee to ensure all case needs are consistently met.
