About The Position

Southeastern Louisiana University's Office of Financial Aid invites applications for the Coordinator of Scholarships position. This position will play a key collaborative role in advancing the University and meeting the student access objectives. The individual, with general oversight from the Assistant Director of Scholarships, will be responsible for maintaining scholarship communication with current and prospective students and families. This position manages the Foundation scholarship program, awards credit and noncredit scholarships and coordinates with the various scholarship committees and reports to the Assistant Director of Scholarships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university by date of hire.

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or Business-related field.
• Experience working in student services setting preferably in higher education.
• Strong team orientation, effective interpersonal skills, and superior written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to build and steward relationships with people from diverse backgrounds.
• Financial aid experience and education sufficient to successfully perform essential job duties.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficient computer skills, particularly word processing, spreadsheets, and database management.
• Ability to complete multiple assignments within provided time constraints with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated commitment to data-driven decision-making, including effective analytical skills and proven results in achieving objectives and goals.
• Self-starter who works well independently, but who also thrives in a team environment, sharing ideas and working collaboratively.
