The Coordinator of Intramurals and Wellness plays a vital role in shaping student life through health, fitness and recreation.

Requirements

  • Baccalaureate degree
  • Self-motivator, independent, cooperative, flexible, creative
  • Experience in handling multiple priorities and handling conflict
  • Effective verbal and written communications skills and effective presentation skills

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in higher education/student affairs or related field
  • One year experience in higher education, preferably in student support or retention

Responsibilities

  • Design, coordinate, and oversee year-round intramural sports program (indoor and outdoor) tailored to seasonal needs
  • Promote health and wellness education through creative engagement strategies and classes
  • Work with Esports Team and Advisor to manage the esports facilities, including equipment maintenance, scheduling, and ensuring a high-quality gaming environment
  • Manage day to day operations of the LSUA Esports Lounge
  • Maintain involvement in the Louisiana Collegiate Intramural Recreational Sports Association (LCIRSA)
  • Train and coach LSUA Tank mascot to maintain character consistency, including non-verbal cues and high-energy interaction
  • Book and manage appearances, coordinate travel and handle on-site logistics of LSUA Tank mascot
  • Oversee the cleaning, repair, and proper storage of costumes and props
  • Responsible for support, attendance and participation in Student Life meetings and programs, and representation on various committees or at special events, including those on evenings and weekends
  • Participate fully in Student Engagement and Student Life functions, meetings, and programs
  • Supervise student staff
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned
