About The Position

The Health and Wellness Coordinator is a key member of the Apis Services Benefits Team. The Health and Wellness Coordinator works closely with the VP of Benefits and Wellness to create the plan for health and wellness initiatives. Once the plans are determined, the Health and Wellness Coordinator leads implementation of the plan in collaboration with the VP of Benefits and Wellness. The Health and Wellness Coordinator monitors the impact of the initiatives and makes changes as needed to maximize the impact of these initiatives. The Health and Wellness coordinator creates opportunities that will inspire staff to engage in healthier habits, both as an individual and groups of their peers.

Requirements

  • A minimum of five years of experience with leading health and wellness programs. Previous experience working with Health and Wellness tools and applications, and comfortable speaking to large groups of people (100+).
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to meet high performance goals and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Health or Wellness related discipline

Responsibilities

  • Jointly leads the coordination, planning, and evaluation of worksite wellness programs in collaboration with the VP of Benefits and Wellness.
  • Develops and conducts onsite and virtual health-related wellness seminars.
  • Oversees the development and distribution of Employee Wellness education materials
  • As the Wellness Committee Chair, develops wellness committee meeting agendas and meeting packages for the Apis Services Wellness committee; Provides guidance and support to committees on implementation of wellness efforts. Gives presentations to the committees, records minutes
  • Works with internal departments to foster collaboration on wellness initiatives.
  • Develops and leads benchmarking analysis and internal surveys to aid in program development.
  • Gathers and analyzes data to measure success of wellness programs, including establishing metrics to measure the effectiveness of wellness initiatives.
  • Leads the evaluation of wellness programs on an ongoing basis and reports effectiveness to the VP of Benefits and Wellness including performance on key metrics.
  • Explores utilization of portal tools and products such as health assessments, fitness and nutrition planners and logs, and fitness tracking applications.
  • Keeps abreast of current national wellness and wellbeing initiatives and activities.
  • Develops a network of resources and contacts to use as appropriate.
  • Explores ideas and opportunities to personalize programs to increase employee participation.
  • Works collaborative across departmental and organizational boundaries to ensure project success.
  • Updates project plans on an ongoing basis.
  • Assesses partnership with vendors and manages vendor relationships.
  • Collaborates with VP of Benefits and Wellness, as well as with leadership from other affiliates.
  • Collaborates with program managers and central department leaders to implement health and wellness programs.
  • Coordinates financial tracking of Health and Wellness programs.
  • Creates a positive, professional, service-oriented work environment for staff, by supporting the APIS Services mission and core values
  • Maintains knowledge of and complies with Apis Services, policies, and procedures
  • Maintains complete knowledge of office services and in the use of all relevant office equipment, computer, and manual systems.
  • Maintains strict employee confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
