Requirements

Associate’s degree in a related healthcare field preferred.
Will consider High School graduate with a minimum of 7 years previous experience in OR/surgical services and/or assisting with anesthesia.
Three year’s operating room related experience required.
BCLS required.
Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.

Responsibilities

Managing anesthesia schedules
Planning work assignments
Monitoring attendance and overtime
Training and educating staff
Ensuring compliance with policies
Participating in quality improvement efforts
Assisting the Operating Room manager with inspections
Involvement in budgeting for future equipment needs
Supporting the practice management software
Addressing departmental issues
Being available on call for emergencies
Maintaining anesthesia equipment
Delivering non-controlled medications
Assisting with clinical tasks such as performing PICC lines and supporting anesthesia providers
Cleaning and sterilizing equipment
Ensuring inventory levels are maintained
Additional duties as assigned
