Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in a related healthcare field preferred.
  • Will consider High School graduate with a minimum of 7 years previous experience in OR/surgical services and/or assisting with anesthesia.
  • Three year’s operating room related experience required.
  • BCLS required.
  • Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella.
  • MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption.

Responsibilities

  • Managing anesthesia schedules
  • Planning work assignments
  • Monitoring attendance and overtime
  • Training and educating staff
  • Ensuring compliance with policies
  • Participating in quality improvement efforts
  • Assisting the Operating Room manager with inspections
  • Involvement in budgeting for future equipment needs
  • Supporting the practice management software
  • Addressing departmental issues
  • Being available on call for emergencies
  • Maintaining anesthesia equipment
  • Delivering non-controlled medications
  • Assisting with clinical tasks such as performing PICC lines and supporting anesthesia providers
  • Cleaning and sterilizing equipment
  • Ensuring inventory levels are maintained
  • Additional duties as assigned
