Overview The Coordinator of Advocacy & Member Engagement provides oversight to the organization’s members and family advisory board and associated advisory board committees. This position works collaboratively with OPWDD Officials, legislators and their staff, and the CCO advocacy committee, in carrying out their responsibility to the develop and implement Care Design NY advocacy initiatives. The coordinator is responsible for developing relationships with community stakeholders that enhance the understanding of a CCO/HH and issues relevant to people with I/DD and their families. In addition, the coordinator will facilitate education efforts, information sharing, and communication with our members and their families about current advocacy efforts and areas of focus.
