PURPOSE The Coordinator of Admissions Processing is responsible for leading the undergraduate admissions processing team in the accurate, timely processing of undergraduate applications, transcripts, and supporting documentation required for admissions decisions. This role is critical to the daily operations of undergraduate admissions processing and ensures compliance with institutional, system, and state requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Two (2) years of related experience.
  • Additional education may be considered as substitution for the minimum experience requirement: Master’s degree
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel) and databases.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to be able to communicate effectively in a courteous and professional manner through various methods, such as person, telephone and email.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Target X
  • Experience in admissions, student recruiting, or college relations.
  • Experience with Banner Student Information System, Laserfiche, and Argos.
  • Demonstrated aptitude for people management, with experience mentoring and leading teams.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute daily uploading application workflow.
  • Lead and coordinate daily processing of undergraduate applications, including electronic and paper applications.
  • Manage processing workflows for high school transcripts, college transcripts, college entrance exam scores (SAT, ACT, TSI, GED), and supporting admissions documents.
  • Manage processing workflows for change-of-term and change-of-major for undergraduate students.
  • Manage and execute duplicate ID correction workflow.
  • Manage and execute uploading and processing SAT, ACT, CLEP, TOEFL, and AP test scores.
  • Maintain, review, and coordinate corrections of error reports to identify and resolve data entry or system-related issues.
  • Process applications for special programs, including StudyGroup, Islander Academy, Program for System Admission (PSA), and other designated populations.
  • Prepare and forward prospective undergraduate student applications for review by the Undergraduate Admissions Committee when required.
  • Provide front-line assistance by answering phones and responding to student, parent, and campus partner inquiries related to undergraduate admissions processing.
  • Other duties as assigned.
