About The Position

Summer 2026 Title I Middle School Credit Recovery Program Coordinator (1 position) Qualifications: Valid Massachusetts Teacher Certification. Successful leadership demonstrated through teaching and/or administrative experience Ability to plan and supervise the implementation of standards based curriculum in Reading/Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies. Relate/communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and administrators. Coordinators must commit to being present for each day of the program. See dates below for more information. Qualifications (Preferred): Previous experience leading summer or after school programs preferred. Valid Massachusetts Administrator license as a principal/assistant principal and/or supervisor/director Experience working in the Malden Public Schools Supervision and evaluation experience ESL Licensed or SEI Endorsement License in Special Education Duties and Responsibilities: Coordinate referral/recruitment process and coordinate registration/scheduling of students ensuring that students’ academic behavioral needs and language development are met. Coordinate all communication with district leaders, principals, teachers, and parents. Work with the Student Support Specialist to identify and plan for the curricular resources needed, including SEI strategies, to meet the diverse academic and behavioral needs of students in the program. Order / process materials within a budget. Collaborate with the student support specialist about the planning and scheduling of small-group instructional blocks in literacy and numeracy. Oversee all disciplinary regulations and keep detailed notes of all disciplinary incidents during the program duration. Provide Tier 1 and 2 attendance services. Maintain student attendance records and submit pre and post assessment data on students in the program. Lead staff development meetings and teacher planning in coordination with the student support specialist. Supervise program implementation and write a program evaluation document. Coordinate with Title I administrative assistant to maintain payroll records of teachers. Coordinators must commit to being present for each day of the program. See dates below for more info. Duration: Program Administration and Implementation 156 hours total to include the following: Pre/Post Program Work: Up to 70 hours (February 9 – August 14) 6 hours of delivery of PD and Teacher Planning 16 days, Monday-Thursday, from July 6 – July 30 (8:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.) 5 hours each day = 80 Stipend: $40 per hour, $6,240 total Funding Source: Title I Grant Questions: Christina Scarlatos, Director of Intervention and Instructional Supports [email protected] Please note: All positions are contingent upon student enrollment for summer programming. Requirements
