About The Position

The Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operation and supervision of the Mesquite and Moapa Valley sites. This includes class scheduling, site utilization, safety and security, and local community representation for CSN. This position serves as the primary contact for all activities and site needs of students, visitors, faculty, staff, and the communities they serve. Coordinators are expected to be a primary voice for CSN and are charged with professionally presenting the College within the communities they reside and serve. This position is pivotal to site communication for CSN staff, daily problem-solving of any site-related issues, and long-term site planning that reflects emerging needs for both CSN and the local communities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3 years of experience in higher education.
  • Exceptional listening, communication, and team skills to exercise independent decision-making and sound professional judgment to problem-solve site issues in accordance with CSN's mission, goals, and organizational structure.
  • Knowledge of the College's mission, vision, values, strategic plan, unit plan, org structure, and policies.
  • Ability to work with the community, business & industry, and college staff on course and program offerings.
  • Demonstrated skill in good customer service, marketing, and management practices.
  • Proficiency in use of a personal computer and current software applications including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite (Word, , Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Experience with presentation, and spreadsheet programs.
  • Excellent communication skills that incorporate sensitivity to / respect for diverse populations, both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate good organizational and planning skills and the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to successfully manage office staff and working atmosphere so that effective operations are maximized.
  • Delegate projects.
