About The Position

The Label Coordinator reports to the Supply Chain Supervisor and is based out of our Hendersonville, North Carolina location. The employee will be responsible for receiving, organizing, and ensuring the correct labels are available for production runs. Employee must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with close attention to detail through many changes each day and or week.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent
  • 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing environment operating production equipment
  • Extremely strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
  • Previous experience with ERP systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

  • Stack and arrange labels based on run order according to production schedule
  • Pull labels for all Production Lines by reviewing the daily production schedule. Pulling each line ahead to ensure enough labels are available to support ~ 24 hours. The weekend will require pulling ahead to cover the Saturday through Monday.
  • Check and verify return labels / partial boxes have no mixed label bundles
  • Follow FIFO by ensuring partial boxes and older inventories are used first
  • Communicate label shortages as soon as possible and needed conversions to Supply Chain
  • Receive and confirm correct label quantities from label suppliers match the quantity on the packing list from the supplier
  • The label coordinator will pull 1 sample of each new label and give it to the Production Manager for review.
  • Ship and receive labels to and from other plants via DRP. Also, use FedEx software when shipping ground or next day air and provide tracking information to the Supply Chain.
  • Complete label cycle counts, which include a large amount of cycles that must be completed weekly and monthly on time
  • Complete various monthly packaging cycle counts.
  • Apply wrapping, labels, and identifications as required
  • Follow all required safety procedures
  • Load and unload material within a warehouse or storage facility
  • Utilize hand trucks, forklifts, hoists, conveyors, or other handling equipment to move material to and from trucks and within the storage facility
  • Complete formula recovery as needed. Normally when the Inventory Administrator is out.
  • Knowledge of standard practices and procedures within a particular field
  • Rely on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Accountable for food safety, food quality, and regulatory requirements for their position
  • Encouraged to notify management about actual or potential food safety issues
  • Adopt and maintain all SQF requirements for their position
  • Empowerment to work with supervision to resolve food safety and food quality issues within their scope of work
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned
