About The Position

Advises supervisors of district policies and procedures in order to support employee performance management and corrective actions, including discipline and dismissal actions, and management of complaints. Recognized functional expert who regularly facilitates employee relations processes and projects critical to the organization in support of a high performance work place including, but limited to administrative leaves, grievances and disciplinary actions. Analyzes diverse and complex employee relations matters to determine the best course of action in accordance with district policies, and in consideration of organizational impact. Advises employees on the employee grievance process. Interprets, implements, and administers organization-wide human resource policies and processes. Drafts clear and concise written communications to address employee concerns and accurately relay information regarding district policies. Develops internal and external contacts pertaining to organization-wide functions. Perform all other tasks and duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Human Resources or related field required.
  • 5 years of direct experience required.
  • Demonstrated ability to exhibit excellent customer service in high stress situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with high level leaders/individuals effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle difficult or volatile situations/individuals effectively.

  • SHRM/PHR preferred.
