This job is full-time permanent.  We are looking for someone eager to join our team to manage the day-to-day Health and Safety responsibilities at our Sawmill in Cross City, Florida. Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 5 years experience of related work experience.
  • OSHA 10 and/or 30 certification
  • Self starter
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in high production mills a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Train new employees in all aspects of safety.
  • Perform, evaluate and follow-up on safety inspections; offer recommendations for improvement.
  • Plan and conduct annual safety training.
  • Maintain records required by State Air and Water permits.
  • Provide safety training for contractors and vendors.
  • Examine and monitor waste hauling invoices.
  • Plan and prepare Safety Committee activities.
  • Order, organize and distribute safety supplies including PPE.
  • Preform other duties as assigned.
