About The Position
Under the direction of our Cancer Genetic Counselor, the Coordinator Genetics Program will work in the cancer genetics clinical setting supporting genetic counselor, physician, and patient needs as necessary. Responsibilities of the role include clinical and administrative duties. The role will work closely with the Genetic Counselor and provide support as needed.
Requirements
- GED or High School Diploma
- BLS from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross
- 1-2 years clinical/healthcare environment experience or related education
- Written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- Computer proficiency MS Office products (Excel, Powerpoint, Word, etc.) or ability to learn new software quickly.
- Must be able to work collaboratively as part of a team in a busy clinical practice.
- Must be comfortable transporting sealed biological specimens.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelors degree in biology, genetics, or related field preferred.
- 1 year administrative experience and/or patient care experience preferred.
