About The Position

Under the Supervision of the Assistant Director of Financial Aid: - Review, evaluate, and process professional judgment requests from students to modify the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) regarding unusual and special circumstances. - Analyze and adjust Cost of Attendance (COA) components in compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations. - Collaborate with Aerospace and Bursar Offices to coordinate the adjustments of COA for the funding of flight labs. Counsel and assist Aerospace students in financial aid options. - Evaluate and resolve overawards in compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations. - Designated back-up for the processing and monitoring of federal / state / institutional aid for students enrolled in Study Abroad coursework and/or participating in a Financial Aid Consortium Agreement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required. A High School Diploma or High School Equivalency (HSE) and three years of directly related work experience may be considered in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum two years of customer service experience required.

  • This position requires a criminal background check. Therefore, you will be required to provide information about your criminal history to be considered.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of Financial Aid or related experience in higher education.
  • Experience using Banner or a related financial aid management system.
  • Experience with Argos.
  • Experience working in the National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS), COD, FSA Partner Connect, and FAFSA Partner Portal (FPP).
