About The Position

Orlando City SC, Orlando Pride, and Orlando City B are seeking an energetic, detail‑oriented, and self‑motivated individual to support the Club’s communications efforts across all three teams. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Communications & PR, this role plays an integral part in media relations, gameday operations, content collaboration and written communications across the Club.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in sports communications or related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of soccer is essential; knowledge of MLS, NWSL and/or MLS NEXT Pro is a plus.
  • Self-starter who takes pride in their duties and is consistently looking to raise the standard of excellence.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work efficiently as part of a team.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in AP style.
  • Proficiency in digital tools; knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
  • Ability to attain and maintain SafeSport certification.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
  • Ability to travel and work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in non-traditional settings within a fast-paced team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.
  • Knowledge of MLS, NWSL and/or MLS NEXT Pro is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead media operations logistics for all three teams, including credentialing, parking, and general media support.
  • Oversee home matchday media operations, supporting gameday media staff in production of match recaps, quote sheets and post‑match materials.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, players and technical staff to plan and execute media opportunities, interviews and content initiatives.
  • Contribute to weekly storylines and pitching, working closely with both external media and the Club’s broadcast, digital and content teams.
  • Assist in the production of written materials for all three teams, including press releases, media advisories, game notes and player bios.
  • Support communications colleagues in coordination of training coverage, media requests and interviews, as needed.
  • Serve as the primary day‑to-day communications contact for Orlando City B and the Orlando City Academy, leading the writing of media materials, such as press releases and match recaps.
  • Represent the Communications Department at Club and venue events, as needed, providing on‑site support.
  • Maintain strong relationships with local, national and international media, ensuring consistent communication and collaboration.
  • Serve as club press officer on Orlando City and Orlando Pride road matches, as needed.
  • Support third-party event media operations (e.g., Orlando Storm) as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.
