About The Position

Our People team is responsible for managing and enhancing all aspects of human resources and employee experience. Our team oversees talent acquisition, including recruiting, interviewing and onboarding new hires, ensuring that the Firm attracts and retains top legal talent and business services professionals. We develop and implement HR policies, manage employee relations, and administer compensation and benefits programs to ensure a fair and supportive work environment. Additionally, the People team focuses on training, professional development, work allocation, mobility and fostering a positive workplace culture. We also handle performance management, employee engagement, and compliance with labor laws and regulations. Through our comprehensive HR strategies and initiatives, the People team ensures that the Firm’s workforce around the world is motivated, skilled and mobilized to deliver on the Firm’s objectives. The Advisor, Recruitment is responsible for providing essential support to assist the team in making informed decisions such as dealing with matters related to the hiring of lateral partners and other Recruitment needs. This role takes on a number of operational responsibilities within the team, employing Recruitment knowledge to address issues raised during the hiring process. Expected to provide advice, helping business leaders make informed Recruitment decisions. The Advisor, Recruitment conducts detailed investigations and analyses to inform the team and contribute to the enhancement of existing Recruitment approaches. The role will primarily impact the team's effectiveness by maintaining high standards of Recruitment practices, coordinating the smooth delivery of Recruitment initiatives to maximise functional performance on a day-to-day basis.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience; likely working towards relevant professional certification/qualification where appropriate to the discipline

Responsibilities

  • Provides guidance and support to team members and stakeholder on typical Recruitment matters, delivering optimal hiring results and ensuring the achievement of Recruitment objectives
  • Engages in fact-finding exercises and detailed analyses, gathering information from multiple sources to provide insightful advice for controlling or making Recruitment decisions within the team
  • Assists in the entire lifecycle of Recruitment from identifying potential candidates, executing process efficiencies, through to onboarding, ensuring alignment with the Firm's Recruitment strategies and goals
  • Collaborates with teams across the Firm to support Recruitment initiatives, utilising in-depth knowledge of lateral Recruitment to overcome challenges and streamline processes
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of Recruitment trends and regulatory changes, providing recommendations based on these insights to promote hiring best practices and maintain compliance
  • Assists in the preparation of Recruitment reports, presentations, and communications for internal stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and clarity of information
  • Supports the Senior Advisor or Manager in resolving Recruitment-related issues and addressing onboarding concerns, escalating complex matters as needed
  • May coordinate the work of junior team members and more administrative roles
  • Roles at this level may serve as a supervisor or informal resource
  • Ability to make judgments based on knowledge gained through previous experience
  • Ability to work fairly independently, escalating complex issues for guidance and support
  • Comprehensive understanding of the range of processes, procedures and systems within own discipline
  • Effective analytical and problem - solving skills, with the ability to gather and evaluate information from multiple sources
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate work, provide guidance within the team, and collaborate with cross - functional teams
