About The Position

The Professional Development Coordinator is tasked with addressing the growth and capacity-building needs of the Office of Academics team members. This role is responsible for the development and delivery of targeted professional development programs based on the insights from Pulse Survey results, areas of deficiency identified by supervisors, and requests from team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 5 years working in the district/central office of a large urban school district
  • Microsoft Office
  • Human Resources or Organizational Development

Responsibilities

  • Analyze Pulse Survey results, supervisor feedback, and team member requests to identify professional development needs within the Office of Academics.
  • Develop and implement targeted professional development programs to address identified needs, such as Microsoft Office proficiency, communication best practices, and other functional skills.
  • Collaborate with experts and departments across the district, including HR, leadership development, and curriculum PD, to facilitate sessions that build capacity and competency.
  • Create and manage a professional development calendar that aligns with the growth needs of the Office of Academics team members.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of professional development initiatives through feedback and assessments, adjusting programs as necessary to meet evolving needs.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
