Job Responsibilities: General Job Duties: To exhibit an objective, fair and professional attitude that exemplifies the principles outlined in The MAGNA Employee’s Charter to maintain a positive and productive workplace. To follow Decostar policies and display conduct expected of Decostar employees as described in the employee handbook. Ensure that you follow company policies and business objectives in the daily supervision of the operations of the company. To exhibit teamwork and leadership skills and actively participate in team activities in a positive working environment. To demonstrate problem solving skills in a work environment that is striving for continuous improvement. To support all customer quality standards as well as the standards of Decostar. To perform daily cross-functional job assignments as required and per the department’s established procedures and work instructions. Ensure a spirit of respect, cooperation, ethical conduct and fair dealing in all our operations between internal and external customers and suppliers. Specific Job Duties: To follow safety rules of Decostar and work in a manner that is conducive to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace. To Understand the employee’s rights under the OSHA Act, EEOC, FLSA and do not allow for discrimination against any employee exercising their rights. Always use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment to set good workplace standards and ensure all employees maintain those standards. To follow safety rules of Decostar and work in a manner that is conducive to maintaining a safe and healthful workplace including: training of new employees, reporting unsafe acts or conditions and correcting or commending health and safety performance. Ensure that all accidents or injuries are reported immediately and actively participate in the accident investigation and completion of all open action items. Have knowledge of general workplace health and safety in regard to the general public and visitors to Decostar. Perform training and development needs analysis & recommend action plans. Formulate training policies, programs, and schedules, based on knowledge of identified training needs, company production processes, business systems, or changes in products, procedures, or services. Oversee the Performance Management process for Salaried and Hourly employees. Select appropriate instructional procedures or methods such as individual training, group instruction, self-study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises, role play, and computer-based training. Develop annual compliance training plan and calendar; track status to ensure compliance standards are met. Manage web-based learning management system (LMS) for safety and environmental compliance training – including content creation and development schedules for required employees. Serve as internal administrator for iAuditor program including user set up and template editing. Organize and develop training manuals, testing and evaluation procedures, multimedia content creation, and other educational materials. Establish and administer a formal training program for leadership development of the management group. Plan and conduct monthly Supervisory/Leadership Training sessions. Schedule and manage New Hire Orientation. Updating New Hire Orientation Binders Compile data for training requirements to provide key information for budget requests. Develop relationships with local universities and technical colleges on providing professional courses. Manage college recruiting programs and technical trainings. Maintain tracking system for training hours to be reported for required compliance reporting Serve as key resource for multiple audits including but not limited to: Mafact, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IATF and Corporate Safety Audit Work closely with Exteriors’ People and Development (PD&T) to develop understanding of key initiatives to ensure alignment between corporate and Decostar. Support company initiatives while promoting positive employee relations; including monthly employee meetings, company employee engagement activities and direct HR employee engagement functions. Perform other duties as directed. Skills and Experience Required: 3+ years previous Human Resources and/or Training experience required; preferably in a manufacturing environment Previous experience as a HR Generalist preferred. Previous experience in automotive manufacturing desired. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to influence behavior through positive verbal communication interactions Must have strong quantitative, analytical skills and organization skills Demonstrated Leadership experience and ability to keep matters in confidence Excellent computer skills: Microsoft Word ,Excel, PowerPoint and ability to pick up new programs Fluent in English (reading and writing). Must have strong technology orientation Must have genuine interest in the development of others and ability to host in person and present in small, mid-size and large group learning group formats. Must be flexible with work hours as coverage of 2nd and 3rd shift will be required for training sessions Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education or related field of study required. . Requirements

  • 3+ years previous Human Resources and/or Training experience required; preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to influence behavior through positive verbal communication interactions
  • Must have strong quantitative, analytical skills and organization skills
