About The Position

Position Summary The Coordinator, Nursing Administration (RN) provides dedicated administrative, operational, and documentation support exclusively to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO). This role plays a key part in organizing nursing operations, supporting regulatory and accreditation readiness, tracking quality initiatives, and maintaining accurate nursing documentation. An active Registered Nurse (RN) license is required to apply professional nursing knowledge and clinical judgment in an administrative capacity. This position does not provide direct patient care and carries no supervisory or decision‑making authority over nursing staff. The Coordinator works closely with the CNO and nursing leadership to ensure compliance, accuracy, and follow‑through across nursing operations while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
  • Associate Degree in Nursing
  • 3–5 years of related experience
  • BLS/First Aid certification
  • Handle With Care certification
  • Verbal De‑escalation training
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • High level of discretion and ability to manage confidential information
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
  • Experience with compliance, audits, quality monitoring, or regulatory readiness
  • Familiarity with healthcare documentation systems (MS4, MIDAS, HCS)

Responsibilities

  • Collect, analyze, and report nursing performance improvement (PI) and quality metrics
  • Maintain dashboards, data logs, and documentation to support continuous regulatory readiness
  • Track corrective action items and follow up to ensure timely completion
  • Conduct routine audits, including environmental rounds, safety and equipment checks, and cleaning log reviews
  • Ensure compliance documentation is complete, accurate, and timely
  • Identify trends or recurring issues and escalate concerns to leadership
  • Verify completion of nursing and Mental Health Technician (MHT) therapeutic groups
  • Confirm daily nurse rounds and required RN oversight documentation
  • Review unit and departmental checklists and communicate gaps or omissions
  • Assist with monitoring and documenting staff conduct and attendance issues
  • Prepare preliminary documentation, coaching notes, and corrective forms for leadership review
  • Coordinate meetings related to staff conduct, performance, or attendance as directed by the CNO
  • Provide follow‑up communication with staff as assigned
  • Serve as primary administrative support to the Chief Nursing Officer
  • Maintain calendars, schedules, meeting agendas, and departmental workflows
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and correspondence
  • Organize and manage nursing administrative files and documentation systems
  • Support department‑wide communications and initiatives
