Nursing Administration Coordinator – Position Overview The Nursing Administration Coordinator is a non‑clinical, administrative role that supports the Chief Nursing Officer with the day‑to‑day coordination of nursing operations. This position focuses on organization, documentation, audits, workflow support, and quality monitoring, helping ensure important nursing processes run smoothly and efficiently. In this role, you’ll play an important part in supporting regulatory readiness and performance improvement efforts by helping maintain accurate documentation and tracking key operational tasks. Your work helps the nursing team stay organized, compliant, and focused on delivering high‑quality care.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field
  • Experience in healthcare administration, operations, quality, compliance, or administrative support roles preferred
  • Experience working in a fast‑paced or regulated environment strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail‑oriented with strong follow‑through and accountability
  • Professional, reliable, and able to handle sensitive information confidentially
  • Comfortable addressing routine compliance and documentation questions with staff
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • BLS / First Aid (required)
  • Handle with Care (required)
  • Verbal De‑escalation (required)

Responsibilities

  • Collect, organize, and track nursing quality and performance improvement (PI) measures
  • Maintain dashboards, data logs, and documentation supporting regulatory and accreditation readiness
  • Monitor assigned corrective action items and follow up with staff to ensure timely completion
  • Support leadership with data preparation and routine quality reporting
  • Conduct routine non‑clinical audits, including environmental rounds, log reviews, and documentation checks
  • Ensure required compliance forms, logs, and checklists are completed accurately and on schedule
  • Identify trends or recurring documentation gaps and escalate concerns to nursing leadership
  • Track follow‑up actions to resolution
  • Verify completion of required nursing and Mental Health Technician (MHT) therapeutic group documentation
  • Confirm daily nurse rounds documentation and required RN oversight signatures
  • Review assigned unit‑based and departmental checklists for accuracy and timeliness
  • Communicate documentation or compliance gaps to appropriate staff and leadership
  • Assist with monitoring and tracking staff conduct and attendance concerns, including: Attendance and tardiness patterns Cell phone and electronic device use during assigned duties
  • Prepare preliminary documentation, coaching support materials, or corrective paperwork for leadership review
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings related to conduct, attendance, or performance follow‑up
  • Provide administrative follow‑up with staff as directed by nursing leadership
  • Serve as primary administrative support to the Chief Nursing Officer
  • Manage calendars, meetings, agendas, and departmental correspondence
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and communication materials
  • Organize departmental files and workflow systems for accessibility and efficiency
  • Assist with department‑wide communications and information distribution
