National Star Services, a 27-year-old facility Management Company providing nationwide services, is seeking Cooks for their location in Des Plaines, IL 60018. The role involves being part of a team creating high-end products served daily, working at a fast pace to meet production timelines, and ensuring strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards.
Requirements
- Must be authorized to lawfully work in the U.S.
- Bilingual (English & Spanish Speaker)
- Previous experience as a cook
- Slip Resistant shoes are required for safety
- Have reliable transportation to get to and from work
- Must be able to start working as soon as possible
Responsibilities
- Be part of a team, creating high-end products served daily
- Work at a fast pace to meet production timelines
- Prepare and cook meals in large quantities following standardized recipes and client specifications
- Ensure food presentation, portioning, and packaging meet client and company guidelines
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with inventory management, including monitoring stock levels and minimizing waste
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff, supervisors, and quality control teams
- Follow production schedules to meet production deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
