About The Position

Dead Letter is a new restaurant concept from the girl & the fig, located on the Sonoma Square. We are currently hiring Cooks and Dishwashers to join our opening kitchen team. Dead Letter reflects our continued focus on thoughtful food, strong team culture, and a commitment to quality in every part of the guest experience. About the Role We are seeking team members for both Cook and Dishwasher positions who take pride in their work and enjoy being part of a collaborative kitchen. These roles are essential to daily operations and offer the opportunity to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment focused on quality, consistency, and teamwork. Ideal candidates take pride in their work, are dependable, and are interested in contributing to a well-organized and supportive kitchen.

Requirements

• California Food Handler Certification (required or ability to obtain)
• Previous kitchen or restaurant experience preferred
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and consistency
• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to assist where needed
• Reliability and strong work ethic
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and regularly move items
• Ability to work safely with kitchen tools and equipment

Responsibilities

• Preparing ingredients and executing menu items according to kitchen standards
• Assisting with prep work and maintaining organization of workstations
• Maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen
• Supporting the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service
• Following all food safety and handling procedures
