Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark is currently seeking a Per Diem Cook to work at Pathways to Housing, a shelter located in Newark, NJ.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• 2 to 3 years related experience
• ServSafe Food Handler's Certificate

Responsibilities

• The Cook is responsible for the ordering of food, planning menus, and preparation of nutritious meals within the given budget
• He or she ensures proper maintenance of kitchen equipment and cooking utensils, maintains proper food storage regarding temperature and expiration dates, and oversees the cleanliness of the kitchen, dining area, and food pantry.
