About The Position

Silver Oak Academy is located on a scenic 78-acre campus surrounded by sprawling
corn fields, beautiful woods full of local wildlife and foliage, a football
stadium, an athletic center (gymnasium, padded wrestling room, a fully equipped
weight room & more), a Tech Center, student housing for 96 youth, and an
academic building all just a short commute from Frederick, Baltimore & DC. On
site dormitories are available for staff use during their shift and overnight
for those with a long commute, or limited transportation.

adults. As a Dietary Cook, you will have the unique opportunity to create a

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Have one year of prior experience working in a residential setting for children.
• Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug screen, physical, and TB test

Responsibilities

• Ensure that healthy and tasty food is prepared for the youth and staff on-site
• Help maintain the cleanliness and safety of the kitchen and dining area
• Act as a team player among the kitchen staff
• Prepare cook and serve food to students and staff for breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack.
