About The Position

Join our team as a full-time Evening Cook and create delicious meals that brighten our residents' days! Job Summary: The Evening Cook is responsible for preparing and serving nutritious and appetizing meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents. This role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; culinary training preferred.
  • Previous experience as a cook, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting.
  • Knowledge of dietary needs and restrictions for senior populations is a plus.
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain portion control standards.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Commitment to teamwork and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook meals according to established menus and dietary guidelines.
  • Ensure food is served in an appealing and timely manner.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Assist with inventory management, including proper storage and rotation of food items.
  • Collaborate with dietary staff to accommodate residents' dietary restrictions and preferences.
  • Monitor food temperatures and quality throughout meal preparation and service.
  • Assist with cleaning tasks, including dishwashing, equipment sanitization, and kitchen upkeep.
  • Participate in every-other-weekend shifts as part of the rotation.
