About The Position
Rite of Passage Team is hiring a Cook at Norris Academy in Andersonville, TN. Norris Academy is a residential treatment facility that offers comprehensive, holistic services to youth with autism spectrum disorders, and/or other neurodevelopmental diagnosis, located just outside the Great Smoky Mountains, around 30 miles North of Knoxville. This role offers the opportunity to make an impact from day one by creating a positive, safe, and supportive environment for the youth served, while also providing career growth opportunities and self-fulfillment. This is a 100% onsite position.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have a High School diploma or equivalent
- Be able to pass a background screening, drug test, and physical
- Have a passion to work with and help children
Responsibilities
- Preparing meals, and then grilling, frying, or baking it, adjusting to dietary needs for 3 meals per day plus snack for 60-100 people in a residential cafeteria 365 days a year.
- Serving meals and maintaining food safety
- Cleaning workspaces, utensils, & dishes, and sanitizing
- Enforce facility rules, policies, and routines
