About The Position

As a Line Cook, you'll be a key member of our kitchen team, helping to prepare delicious meals in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. You'll follow recipes, keep things organized, and ensure every dish is prepared to perfection. Whether you're cooking, prepping ingredients, or working alongside your teammates, your goal is to deliver a great experience for our customers every time.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand and move around the kitchen for long periods.
  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 pounds and working in a high-heat environment.
  • Strong knife skills and attention to detail.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience working in a busy kitchen (but we’re happy to train the right person!).
  • Knowledge of food safety practices (ServSafe certification needed, can be obtained at hiring).
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Take charge of your station, ensuring that food is prepared to recipe standards and served with consistency. Keep up with ticket flow ensuring preparation within target times.
  • Be flexible and ready to pitch in wherever needed to support the team. Work efficiently during peak hours.
  • Keep your station organized and efficient for smooth kitchen operations. Rotate stations as needed.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure that tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
  • Support kitchen leaders by following instructions and maintaining high standards of food prep and cleanliness.
  • Help create a positive, collaborative environment where everyone can succeed.
  • Follow recipes carefully to maintain consistency and quality.
  • Ensure food is cooked and presented according to the café's standards.
  • Follow safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. FIFO food storage and rotation practices.
  • Deliver high-quality, well-prepared dishes that meet customer expectations.
  • Ensure timely service, especially during peak hours. Communication & Collaboration
  • Communicate clearly with team members and kitchen leadership to keep things running smoothly.
  • Be proactive in supporting teammates during busy times and helping with additional tasks when needed.
  • Follow portion control guidelines to help minimize waste and control food costs.
  • Help track inventory and ensure supplies are used efficiently.
  • Learn: Has received extensive instruction and calibration on our culture & values.
  • Teach: Can teach and articulate that culture to others.
  • Live: Brings those values & culture to life every day.
