About The Position

Smoko Loco at Big Bob’s Bowling is looking for an experienced Cook to prepare high-quality food and assist with other back-of-house kitchen duties. Our Line Cooks support the kitchen team and help create a fun, efficient, and welcoming environment for both guests and team members. This position is ideal for a high-energy and positive individual who is self-motivated, eager to learn, and adaptable in a fast-paced kitchen. Smoko Loco offers a lively atmosphere with opportunities for growth while serving great food to guests enjoying bowling, events, and entertainment.

Requirements

  • At least1 year of related kitchen or line cook experiencepreferred.
  • Food Handler Certificationrequired (or ability to obtain).
  • Knowledge of basic knife skills, food safety, and kitchen sanitation practices.
  • Experience working in afast-paced or high-volume kitchen environmentpreferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality.
  • Ability to take direction, accept constructive feedback, and continuously improve.
  • Passion for food, strong workethic, and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
  • Ability to lift up to30 poundswhen necessary.
  • Ability to work in afast-paced, high-temperature kitchen environment.
  • Ability to bend, reach, and move quickly during busy service periods.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare food according to established recipes and kitchen standards to ensure consistent quality and flavor.
  • Cook and assemble menu items whilemaintainingproperportioncontrol and presentation.
  • Work efficiently during busy service periods whilemaintaininghigh food quality standards.
  • Prepare ingredients for service including cleaning, chopping, portioning, and organizing food items.
  • Set up and stock kitchen stations with necessary supplies and ingredients.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstation at all times.
  • Comply withall food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
  • Assistwith cleaning, restocking, andmaintainingkitchen equipment and supplies.
  • Support opening and closing kitchen duties as assigned.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient food service.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working with coworkers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Promote a positiveteamculture through respect, reliability, initiative, and professionalism.
