About The Position
Come and join our team! We are seeking to hire a cook for a healthcare facility in Tyler Shift: Monday - Friday + every other weekend 6am-4pm Rate of pay: $16 per hour Position Details: Prepare, cook, and plate meals for patients, staff, and special events, following specific recipes and portion guidelines. Follow all sanitation and food safety protocols, including temperature control, proper storage, and maintaining a clean work area. Monitor and order food supplies, and track inventory to ensure freshness and availability. Assist in other areas/ or duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting is required
- Proficient in cooking and food prep techniques
- Strong understanding od food safety, sanitation, and nutrition
- Ability to read and follow recipes and dietary instructions accurately
- Knowledge of operation of kitchen equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to pass a nationwide background check and a drug screening test
