About The Position
Creative Dining Services located on the Dordt University campus in Sioux Center, IA is looking to hire a full-time AM Cook to work Monday - Friday plus weekend rotation. The Cook ensures that high quality, properly seasoned, nutritious food is being provided in a safe manner. The Cook works cooperatively as a valued member of the dining services team. Come and be creative! Each day is different and exciting!
Nice To Haves
- Minimum of 2 years cooking experience preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- ServSafe Certification preferred
Responsibilities
- Time food production such that all food is ready at the time of service
- Prepare food items according to established recipes and menus
- Utilize safe food handling techniques at all times
- Store food items according to established standards of practice
- Maintain food production records and temperature logs
- Follow established work rules and regulations; ready for work in the kitchen, in uniform, at the scheduled time
- Maintain a safe,tidyand well-organized work environmentat all times
- Communicate needs and concernsregardingfood production and kitchen operation to supervisor appropriately andin a timely manner
- Support other kitchen employees
