About The Position

Keystone Human Services is currently seeking a Cook to join our team in providing support to individuals with mental health so that they are involved in activities and events, exercise choices, and acquire the competencies to maintain activities and relationships and accomplish personal goals. As a Cook, you will be responsible for meal preparation and service, inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience cooking, preparing meals and working in kitchen environment
  • Effective communication and basic computer skills
  • Valid driver’s license with daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle
  • Successful completion of the pre-employment process, including clearances and verifications

Responsibilities

  • Plan menus thoughtfully, balancing variety, health needs, and individual preferences
  • Set up meals, manage food storage, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment
  • Handle grocery shopping, inventory tracking, ordering, and stocking food and kitchen supplies
  • Oversee kitchen equipment, ensuring appliances function properly, reporting maintenance issues, and managing inventory and purchases
  • Provide direct supervision and support to individuals in completing daily tasks and engaging in meaningful activities
  • Implement individualized care plans, incorporating feedback from each person served to promote autonomy and well-being
  • Assist individuals with personal hygiene, laundry, cooking, and housekeeping skills in a way that fosters independence
  • Monitor and report behavioral or mental health changes to appropriate team members
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and within designated timeframes.
  • Maintain general cleanliness and upkeep of the home
  • Provide transportation for individuals as needed, ensuring safety and punctuality.
  • Regularly check and respond to work-related emails to stay informed and connected
  • Participate actively in scheduled meetings, training, and appointments to support program goals and personal development
