Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to: Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to restaurant and hotel guests. Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members. Wash, cut and prepare food for serving and/or cooking. Prepare various dishes and sauces following recipes and leaders directions. Cook food as ordered, working on several different orders simultaneously. Inventory food items and report on supplies to be ordered. Maintain stock levels in the kitchen and storerooms throughout the property. Control inventory for loss, waste and spoilage. Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces and utensils, keeping kitchen, walk-ins, reach-ins, and any accompanying areas spotless to company standards and to all health codes. Clean and Wash dishes including serviceware, cookware, utensils, plates, pots, pans, etc. Adhere to all food safety and company safety requirements. Take and document temperatures of food, hot holding vessels and cold holding vessels. Monitor cleanliness of back loading dock and dumpster area. Remove trash from the kitchen and dispose in dumpster area. Setup and refill buffet stations for events and banquets. Assists in running food to tables when needed. Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department, restaurant and hotel. Follow all instructions and duties assigned or directed to complete by supervisors/management. Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
