Requirements
- 1+ year of experience as a cook or in a similar food service role
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for portioning and recipe adjustments
- Ability to lift/move up to 25 lbs frequently
- Must be able to work a rotating weekend schedule
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Successful completion of prescreening hiring requirements
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and cook meals according to menu standards and dietary requirements
- Follow established recipes, portion guidelines, quality expectations, and presentation standards
- Support meal service by coordinating with dietary staff and ensuring timely, accurate plating
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen and work area
- Follow all sanitation, safety, and food-handling procedures
- Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs to leadership
- Assist with dishwashing, equipment cleaning, and closing duties as needed
- Contribute to a positive, resident-focused dining experience every shift
