What you’ll do: As a Dietitian, you will be responsible for managing the nutritional care and dietary planning for residents in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Requirements

  • registered dietitian (RD) credential or eligibility to obtain the following within six months
  • licensed or license-eligible in the state of kentucky
  • bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, or related field
  • completion of 900 supervised practice hours under a registered dietitian
  • ability to use ms office (word, excel, powerpoint) and emr systems
  • ability to analyze lab values and make clinical recommendations
  • able to lift up to 30 lbs and perform occasional bending, reaching, or kneeling
  • comfortable standing or sitting for extended periods

Responsibilities

  • conducting resident interviews and nutritional assessments
  • completing mds section k and related documentation
  • developing and updating nutrition care plans
  • collaborating with healthcare teams and participating in care conferences
  • advising food service staff on dietary protocols and patient needs
  • ensuring compliance with hipaa and regulatory standards
  • participating in ongoing performance improvement initiatives
  • reviewing and applying current clinical nutrition research
  • orienting and mentoring interns or new staff when applicable
  • maintaining thorough and accurate clinical documentation
