About The Position

SAGE Dining Services® is seeking a highly motivated individual with solid kitchen experience, cooking from scratch in a production environment, to join our team at a beautiful boarding school in Hebron, ME. A cook prepares, cooks, and presents food, ensuring quality and consistency according to recipes and standards. They maintain a clean and organized kitchen, manage inventory, and adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines. Cooks also assist with other kitchen duties, including food preparation, equipment maintenance, and potentially training other staff. Requirements

Experience with cooking in a commercial kitchen.
Ability to understand and execute recipes and instructions in English.
Ability to interact with SAGE guests and Team Members in a professional and positive manner.

Responsibilities

Prepare assigned menu items in strict accordance with SAGE recipes, safety, and allergen policies that exceed our guests' expectations.
Ensure that all food is appropriately displayed and visually appealing.
Interact positively with SAGE guests and Team Members.
Use proper food handling, storage, and sanitation techniques (HAACP).
