As a Cook at Turning Point, you will play a crucial role in preparing healthy and appetizing meals in compliance with dietary guidelines. Your daily efforts will ensure that every meal served is not only nutritious but also delightful. What does a typical day look like for a Turning Point Cook? Our cooks work ten hour shifts. When cooks arrive at work, they review the day’s established menu and prepare the work area, cook the meals in large batches, and serve approximately 120 meals per mealtime. As part of our food and work safety practices, our cooks also monitor temperatures of the cooler, freezer, and dishwashers, record results, report any deviations from proper temperatures, and complete routine cleaning tasks including mopping and dishwashing. Our cooks prepare and serve three meals per day and have alternative options for special diets. This position is a PRN status. PRN Cooks work on an as-needed basis, but are usually scheduled in advance to work.
