About The Position

The Terraces of Boise in Boise, ID, a HumanGood community nationally rated as 2025-2026 Best Senior Living community for Assisted Living, Independent Living and Memory Care by U.S News & World Report, is looking for talented line cooks to join our team! Under general supervision, the Cook primary objective is the preparation of food items to ensure high standard of quality and quantity to meet the needs of the residents for the Residential Living, Assisted Living, Memory Support, and Health Center Dining Room. The Cook handles food in accordance with sanitary standards and recognized food preparation standards. Schedules Available (NO MORE LATE NIGHTS!): Full Time, Tuesday – Saturday from 9AM – 5:30PM Full Time, Tuesday – Saturday from 11:30AM-7:30PM Pay range: $20-23 per hour, base pay, depending on years of experience. Requirements

  • Scratch cooking experience (Required)
  • Fine dining and/or Country Club cooking experience (Required)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with dietary restrictions and modified diets (Preferred)
  • Culinary education (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Prepares food, including but not limited to: washing, trimming, cutting, portioning, measuring, mixing, and panning
  • Cooks food including: baking, broiling, frying, steaming, braising, boiling, and pressure cooking
  • Operates and cleans all food preparation equipment, including but not limited to: grills, broilers, ovens, steamer tables, mixers, microwave ovens, toasters, etc.
  • Complies with all food preparation standards and health and safety requirements
  • Maintains sanitary standards for the handling, transportation, and storage of food
