About The Position
Cook – Upper Valley Haven (Temporary) The Upper Valley Haven is seeking a skilled and compassionate Cook to join our team. In this role, you will prepare nutritious dinners that directly support the health and well-being of our guests. Your culinary expertise will help create a welcoming environment and enhance the quality of life for community members in need. Position Details Temporary role through mid-April Monday–Friday, daytime hours (25–35 hours per week depending on candidate availability) Location: White River Junction with daily meal deliver to Lebanon NH
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Prior cooking experience, ideally in a residential or community setting
- Ability to follow recipes, manage portion control, and accommodate dietary needs
- Knowledge of safe food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety procedures
- Strong time management and multitasking skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- ServSafe certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of meals following established recipes and dietary guidelines
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met
- Assist with meal planning and inventory management of kitchen supplies
- Maintain a clean, organized kitchen and proper food storage practices
